Melvin E. Barnett is a native and resident of Alabama. He is
wonderfully married to the gracious and beautiful
Darlene Barnett.
Both of them grew up in the rural community of Gateswood, Alabama.
They are the proud parents of two beautiful children, Christopher
and Gracie.
Mr.
Barnett is a licensed and ordained minister who began preaching the
Gospel in 1986 at the age of 17. He has ministered in many churches
and across denominational lines. The Holy Spirit has allowed him to
lead hundreds in receiving Christ as their Savior.
For more than twenty years, Mr. Barnett has pastored and served in
various areas of ministry. He has hosted a radio Bible teaching
ministry, helped plant and co-pastor churches, and served as a
Christian Education Director. Mr. Barnett was also a
Chaplain/Counselor for Waterfront Rescue Mission. While there he
conducted services for homeless people as well as administered food,
shelter, clothing, and medication. He also served as Chaplain for
New Hope Home, a 90-day Christian drug and alcohol treatment
center.
Today, Mr. Barnett serves Central Chapel Worship Center as
Administrative/Executive Pastor, as well as a board
member of the Church. Today, Mr. Barnett serves as
Pastor of the Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church, Neeses, SC. He also serves as the Executive Producer of
two televisions broadcasts, “Pentecost Today” and “At the Table
Ministries”.
Mr.
Barnett has a real heart for evangelism and for teaching sound
Biblical approaches to building ones faith. He enjoys making the
scriptures come to life in presenting the Word of God in a relevant
manner that addresses the issues that people confront throughout the
week. The congregation is always faced with decisions they need to
make in their life. Messages are sought after and prayed over, then
delivered sincerely with the union and anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Melvin has the unique ability to captivate an audience of every
social, cultural, and economic background because of his sincerity,
presentation, and natural humor. |
